When we there, we had ask for the local people about the history of the Golden Mermaid, and the person was told that:-
"This mermaid came from sea at one beautiful nights. While she was cleaning her hairs with golden comb on the beach, the young fisherman met her. But his appearance make her frightened and escape to the sea.. Then the fisherman tried to find out and waiting her back but it was useless. She didn't come to the beach again..until the fisherman died, she came and fell guilty then she attempt to be like now she is..(huhuu..interesting right..^__^)....and the person also told that for those couple who had no children may come to hold this mermaid and she will be pregnant after that..(such Pulau Bunting aa..)"
