Memorable Experiences

Hello!!!
We meet again..
Now, we would like to share with all of you about our experiences in Malacca.
As we know, there are a lot of interesting places in Malacca.

Okay, now let's start with our experiences visited interesting places in Malacca!!!!!!

Malacca is one of the state in Malaysia that has its own history. Malacca is a very popular destination among tourists and the local people itself. It is a small and friendly city that have a lot of historical sites. By having those sites, it make Malacca as an unique state in Malaysia. It is located on the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia between the state of Johor and Negeri Sembilan. It has three regions which are Alor Gajah, Central Malacca and Jasin.

The Malacca Map

In our opinion, we think that Malacca has a lot of interesting places such as Melaka Sultanate Palace, A' Famosa, Stadthuys, Maritime Museum, Taming Sari Tower, Malacca River Cruise and so forth.

We had visited Malacca two years ago during our class trip for the subject of Tour Guiding Skills. We felt very excited and very happy to visit Malacca at that time. Once we arrive there, we think that Malacca is a nice state and has a lot of attraction places. It's so amazing.

Now let's start with the first interesting place in Malacca which is Royal Malaysian Navy Museum. It is situated in front of Samudera Maritime Museum in Bandar Hilir. It became one of the historical sites that is very popular among a large numbers of foreigners and and local visitors who came to Malacca. It was opened to public on  October 28, 1995.

The entrance fee for Royal Malaysian Navy Museum is RM 2.00 per entry for adults and RM 0.50 for children and students. It is open daily except on Tuesday from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. The museum portray the photographs of admirals, medals of honour, various ranks in the naval command, the evolution of naval uniform, naval weapons, communication tools and so forth in order to make people who go there know about it better.

Besides The Royal Malaysian Navy Museum, the other historical site is Samudera Maritime Museum. It is situated near the Quayside Road in Bandar Hilir. For your additional information, the opening hours is from 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on Monday to Friday and from 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. In other words, it is open daily. Not only that, the entrance fee for adults is RM 3.00 per entry and RM 0.50 for childrens and students.

In the museum, we can see a lot of things. Besides that, we also can learn something new during the trip. There are a lot of models in the museum that portray the traders from Arab, China, India and so forth came to Malacca Port for business purposes in order to gain their profits. Most of the traders had brought along the porcelain, silk, textile and spices as their merchandises to do business.

Furthermore, the third historical site in Malacca is Melaka Sultanate Palace that include the photographs of Malay weapons, Malays traditional dress, jewelleries and so forth. The entrance fee is RM 2.00 per entry for adult and RM 0.50 for children and students. The museum is open daily except on Monday from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. We felt very excited once we had arrived there because we would like to explore more the palace. Besides, we also would like to know more about the life of people during the Malacca Sultanate era.

Malacca Sultanate Palace
All the attractions stated above are located in Bandar Hilir. People who visit Malacca can stay there as there are a lot of hotels in that area. The hotel that can be chosen by people is Equatorial Hotel. The hotel provided a lot of services and products that can satisfy the needs and wants of the guests. For more information related to the room rate or facilities provided by the hotel, you can visit www.equatorial.com/mel/.

The next interesting destination in Malacca is Taming Sari Tower. We feel very excited to visit the tower as it is the first time we go there although we had been in Malacca for two to three times. The tower is 110 metre  high. The ride is amazing as we can see a scenic view from above. Besides, the ride will turn until 360 degree. The operation hours is from 10.00 a.m. until 10.00 p.m. daily. The admission fee for adult is RM 20 and for children is RM 10. For more information, you can visit menaratamingsari.com

Besides visiting the tower, we also had experienced to an attraction place which is Malacca River Cruise. We feel very happy because we can have great night view along the river that is full with colourful lamps. It really can make we feel very relax and enjoy. People who plan to visit Malacca should experience the ride. The ride just took about 40 to 45 minutes and the fee for an adult is RM 10 and for the children below 12 years old is RM 5. For your information, Malacca River Cruise is start from 9.00 a.m. until 11.00 p.m.
